Fiction is a booming field in podcasting, attracting big players and inspiring TV shows like Archive 81 on Netflix and Homeland on Amazon. While you may have experience in journalistic podcasting or you are a writer or producer of other kinds of fiction such as movies or theater, fiction podcasts require knowledge of an entirely different professional landscape, production process and often, a new set of skills. So what do you need to know, who are the big players in the audio world and how do you get started?

In this introductory course, experienced producer and director Gisele Regatão will take you on a backstage tour of the professional world of audio fiction. She’ll walk you through the process that goes into producing for the ear, offer an overview of different types of fiction podcasts, and even include a few fun writing exercises.

You will be emailed a link to the workshop two hours before it begins.
